I bought some nice strong gels on eBay last week, yesterday they arrived and I couldn’t wait to test them out. Receiving these was a very good thing for me. I’ve been so de-motivated lately when it comes to photography. I’ve literally been doing hardly any night photography which is what I used to be doing all the time.
So, I’ve made a promise to my self I’m going to go out and take some night photos at least once a week. I think the main reason is due to the longer days and light nights. Now the nights are starting to draw in I think it will be a lot easier!
Anyway, I stepped out the door and it started raining… Hmm what a pain! But I wasn’t going to let that stop me trying these nice new gels out. I set my camera up in a doorway, as described in my earlier post. This is when I cracked the barrel on my kit lens. These are what I managed to get despite the rain and lens damage:
