This is something I have been doing a lot of lately, taking pictures of birds in mid flight.
I am using a fast shutter speed in conjunction with a decent ISO speed, and the results are quite pleasing:

This one took some waiting.
On a side note, I have been forced to buy a flickr pro account due to the fact I ran out of room and exceeded my bandwidth allowances, now I am set free to upload a lot more.
